AVRAMIDOU ARIADNI

Avramidou Ariadni is currently a PhD student in the Department of Informatics at Democritus University of Thrace. Her PhD thesis focuses on developing computational thinking for the Blind and Visually Impaired through the use of Tangible User Interfaces. In 2006, she obtained her Bachelor's degree from the Department of Educational and Social Policy at the University of Macedonia. In 2010, she graduated from the postgraduate program in Special Education at the same department and university. In 2024, she obtained an MSc degree in Education Management and Organization from the International Hellenic University. Since 2006, she has been working as a special education teacher for the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. Since 2020, she has been a Braille teacher at the Special Elementary Blind School of Thessaloniki. Her research interests include the use of assistive and AI technology in the education of the Blind and Visually Impaired, universal design for learning and physical computing.
