Construction skills in relation to cognitive abilities in individuals with intellectual disabilities
Two different approaches are used to examine the construction skills in adults with mild intellectual disabilities, while the correlation between construction skills and working memory is under the microscope as well. The aim of the research is to compare two approaches – a video based and a modelling one – of instructing construction skills to individuals with mild intellectual disabilities. The results would support the reinforcement of the education of this group towards the one or the other direction – the more technologically based one or the more “traditional” one.
